A Canadian Professor Speaks in Defense of Ahmadinejad
Regarding Ahmadinejad's statements on Israel and the Holocaust, Shiraz Dossa, a tenured professor at St. Francis Xavier University, in Nova Scotia, Canada, wrote in June 2007 that "Ahmadinejad has not denied the Holocaust or proposed Israel’s liquidation; he has never done so in any of his speeches on the subject (all delivered in Persian). As an Iran specialist, I can attest that both accusations are false... What Ahmadinejad has questioned is the mythologizing, the sacralization, of the Holocaust and the 'Zionist regime’s' continued killing of Palestinians and Muslims. He has even raised doubts about the scale of the Holocaust. His rhetoric has been excessive and provocative. And he does not really care what we in the West think about Iran or Muslims; he does not kowtow to western or Israeli diktat."

Suit for Denial of Serb Genocide
A German-based human rights group, The Society for Threatened Peoples, is suing a Swiss newspaper, La Nation, for its denial of the Serb genocide of Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica in 1995. The agency filed a suit in cooperation with the Swiss Association Against Impunity (TRIAL) in Lausanne. La Nation, a bimonthly newspaper, recently published a series of articles claiming that 2,000 soldiers were killed in Srebrenica’s "pseudo-massacre." Bosnian Serb forces executed 8,000 men and boys in Srebrenica. In 2007, the International Court of Justice ruled the executions were genocide. Swiss law prohibits genocide denial.

B’nai Brith Canada Condemns UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for Publishing Blood Libel of Israeli Organ Harvesting in an Official UN Document
The organ harvesting and “ethnic cleansing and massacres” claims were made by Libya-founded International Organization for the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination (EAFORD), an accredited non-governmental organization, which enjoys “special consultative status” under UN rules. The EAFORD claims were screened and presented by the UNHRC and are now part of the international record. “A modern-day blood libel against the Jewish people is sadly now part of the UN’s international record,” said Frank Dimant, B’nai Brith Canada’s Executive Vice President. “It is absolutely reprehensible that unsubstantiated and discredited claims of Israeli ethnic cleansing and organ harvesting emanating from a Libyan-founded NGO were presented by the UNHRC and have now made their way into an official UN document.” “The sad reality is that this most recent episode of antisemitic blood libel emanating from the UN should surprise no one,” said David Matas, B’nai Brith Canada’s Senior Legal Counsel. Matas is currently observing UNHRC developments in Geneva. “The UN and its bodies such as the Human Rights Council have become notorious in recent years for being part and parcel of the campaign to delegitimize and demonize the world’s only Jewish state. “We call on the UN to start its much-needed reform by denouncing and rescinding EAFORD’s blood libel against Israel and cleansing its Human Rights Council of regimes whose sole purpose to sit on that entity is to shield themselves from the human rights microscope, while at the same time seeking to demonize Israel. The UN must reform or it will cease to exist as a legitimate organization capable of defending the freedoms and human rights that all people of good faith hold dear.”

Hamas Deputy Minister of Religion Says Jews are Bacteria, not Human Beings
From an interview with Abdallah Jarbu', Hamas Deputy Minister of Religious Endowments, on Al-Aqsa TV on February 28, 2010. Abdallah Jarbu': "[The Jews] suffer from a mental disorder, because they are thieves and aggressors. A thief or an aggressor, who took property or land, develops a psychological disorder and pangs of conscience, because he took something that wasn't his. "They want to present themselves to the world as if they have rights, but, in fact, they are foreign bacteria – a microbe unparalleled in the world. It's not me who says this. The Koran itself says that they have no parallel: 'You shall find the strongest men in enmity to the believers to be the Jews.' "May He annihilate this filthy people who have neither religion nor conscience. I condemn whoever believes in normalizing relations with them, whoever supports sitting down with them, and whoever believes that they are human beings. They are not human beings. They are not people. They have no religion, no conscience, and no moral values."

Tiananmen Square? Ask Any Tour Guide in China: Nothing Dramatic Ever Happened
June 4 is the 21st anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre in China. It is reported that many thousands remain imprisoned in China years later for having participated in the student rebellion or for speaking publicly about the massacre at Tiananmen Square in subsequent years. According to the Epoch Times, in May 1989, "About 250,000 soldiers entered Beijing from all directions with tanks and light arms and began to fire on the students [who had congregated in Tiananmen Square to protest government restrictions on freedom including freedom of the press]indiscriminately. Thousands were killed and tens of thousands were wounded."

China Says it Will Keep Censoring the Internet
China said it would [continue to] keep a tight grip on the Internet in the mainland... [and] would continue to block anything considered subversive or threatening to national unity. In March 2010 Google moved its Search system to Hong Kong where China does not have control over Internet functions. In mainland China, the government routinely filters "illegal information," and arrests violators.
